In her teenage years, she worked as a shampoo girl, hair model and hairdresser in a famed Atlanta salon. She spent her downtime following her other passion of dancing.
She and her friends, Lisa Lopes and Crystal Jones were discovered but after Crystal was replaced with Rozonda Thomas, TLC was born in 1991.

As an actress, she has starred in 1998 film, Belly and in a recurring role in Days of Our Lives (2016-18). She also produced the 2006 film, ATL and sang Touch Myself for the 1996 film, Fled.
