Julian's musical career was launched at an early age of 11 after featuring on his father's album, Walls and Bridges. By 1984, he released his first single titled, Too Late For Goodbyes. This single was successful as it topped the adult contemporary charts in the US. In 2007, a passion for photography was birth in him. This later led to his 2010 exhibition called Timeless: The Photography of Julian Lennon.

Over the past 3 decades, Julian has attained the most recognition through his 1991 single titled, Saltwater. This single was particularly popular in Australia as it topped the charts.
