Early Accomplishments

Finding herself in a family of filmmakers and thespians, she became naturally inclined towards acting and made her debut at 9 years old in a series titled Sogni e bisogni.

She landed her film debut in a 1986 horror movie titled Demons 2. She played a major role in her father’s film Trauma in 1992 when she was 18 years old which earned her an award. 

Best Known For

She was the youngest female director in Italy and the first to make digital film in the country. She is famed for xXx: State of the Union in 2002, Land of the Dead in 2005, Dracula 3D in 2012 and Scarlet Diva in 2000 as well as writing and directing it.

Born as Aria Maria Vittoria Rossa Argento, she is the daughter of famed Italian filmmaker and actress parents, Dario Argento and Daria Nicolodi. She is a half-sister to Fiore Argento and Anna Ceroli who died in an auto accident in 1994. 

She is the mother of Anna Lou Castoldi and Nicola Civetta.
