Jesse McCartney

Jesse Abraham Arthur McCartney is a multitalented American singer-songwriter and multifaceted actor known for on-screen affiliations with Disney.

Early Accomplishments

As early as 7 years old, he got his first acting experience in several local theatre plays and by age 10, joined the countrywide tour of the Broadway play The King and I.

In 1998, he performed with the band Sugar Beats and in 1999 became the youngest member of pop group Dream Street, with their debut album being certified gold. 

He left in 2002 to start his band and begin his solo career.

Best Known For

He is famous for hit songs in his albums Beautiful Soul in 2004, Right Where You Want Me in 2006 and Departure in 2008, each of which charted above No. 15 on the Billboard 200.

He portrayed Theodore in all Alvin & The Chipmunks films and also starred in Chernobyl Diaries in 2013 and in Keith in 2008. 

He was cast in the series All My Children from 1998 to 2001 as well as main roles in Army Wives in 2013 and Summerland in 2004.

Jesse is straight and has since 2012 been basking in romance with Katie Peterson. 

He dated Katie Cassidy between 2004 and 2007, Danielle Panabaker in 2008, Jasmine Waltz in 2009 and Eden Sassoon in 2011 amongst a handful of other women.

Family

He is the eldest child of Scott and Ginger McCartney while his younger siblings are Lea and Tim McCartney.

Religion

Jesse is a born-again Christian who regularly goes to church but rarely speaks about his religious beliefs.
