When Turner graduated from college, she went to New York and started performing on Broadway. Her movie debut was in 1981 - Body Heat. 

Best Known For

The 1980s were the most prominent years of the actress. She appeared in Romancing the Stone, Crimes of Passion, The Jewel of the Nile, Peggy Sue Got Married, and more. In the 1990s, she was diagnosed with arthritis that influenced her career not well. 

Her biggest projects of the 1990s and 2000s are Undercover Blues, Serial Mom, Moonlight and Valentino, Friends, Law & Order, Californication. But these were, as a rule, minor roles.
