Roger Whittaker is a hugely successful songwriter and singer prominent through the 60s to the 80s. This British-Kenyan musician is still doing music today.

He went to study medicine at University of Cape Town after completion of 2 years national service in the Kenyan Regiment. He dropped out of med school under 2 years and became a teacher in Kenya.
He later earned a BSc in zoology, marine biology & biochemistry at Bangor University while also singing at clubs. He released his first song in 1962.
Best Known For
His record sale stands at 1 hundred million in just Britain alone with songs such as Moments in my Life which topped the charts for an incredible 14 months.
Globally, he is famed for songs like Wind Beneath My Wings and Durham Town but gained more repute in the US for New World in the Morning and The Last Farewell.

Roger is straight. For over 60 years now, he and his beautiful wife (since 1964), Natalie O’Brien have remained in love with each other. They even co-wrote his autobiography titled So Far, So Good in 1986.
