Ben Lee is one of the finest musicians from Australia. He has also had some experience as an actor.

Early Accomplishments

He was only 13 when he began to write songs and began playing but his career kicked off when he was joined by 3 friends from school to form punk band, Noise Addict in 1993, recording a 4-track demo in his bedroom. After moderate success in Australia and the US, the band split in 1995 and he went solo. 

Best Known For

With 11 albums already released, Ben has become a huge success with albums like Breathing Tornadoes (1998), Awake Is the New Sleep (2005) and Ripe (2007). Some of his well-known songs include Cigarettes Will Kill You and Catch My Disease.

He starred in the 2003 film, Placid Lake.

Ben is straight. For a long time, his relationship with Claire Danes was a regular topic for the media, being called “cute and beautiful together”. They dated from 1997 until 2003, after which he met Ione Skye in 2006. He and Skye got married 3 days before the end of 2008.

Ben’s heritage cannot be traced currently as he prefers to keep his family out of the knowledge of the public. In 2009, he became a father to a beautiful girl named Goldie Priya.
