Francis Ford Coppola

Francis Ford Coppola is an American producer, movie director and composer. 

Early Accomplishments

In 1962, he wrote, directed and produced his first film, Tonight For Sure. 

Best Known For

Francis' most successful and rewarding work in the movie industry is the Godfather trilogy. This film won him 5 Academy Awards as well as 3 Golden Globe Awards.

Religious Belief

Francis considers himself as a very religious person. He was raised in a Christian background under the Catholic denomination but has not help unto those teachings and values. He states that he left the Catholic Church because he did not like them and he observed that the nuns seemed to be mean. Though it is not clear what religion he is associated with, we will take him at his word that he is religious.

Worth To Know

Francis has not limited his success in the entertainment industry alone but has cast his nets into various other ventures that played a remarkable role in who he is. Francis owns a restaurant called Cafe Zoetrope and he also transformed what used to be his family retreat place into a luxurious resort in 1993. 

He is also the owner of The Turtle Inn, in Placencia, Belize and winery called The Francis Ford Coppola Winery. 

He got his theatre inspiration from a book titled A Streetcar Named Desire.
