Australian swimmer Stephanie Rice is a woman endowed with grace, beauty, talent and skill and has become famous for her exploits in the Olympic pool.

Early Accomplishments

She bagged her first gold at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne for the 200m and 400m events at 17 years, defeating 2 Olympians in the process. 

3 years later, she broke the world record in the 400m event at the Australian Olympic trials. 

Best Known For

Stephanie hit world fame when she won 3 gold medals at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing in the 200m and 400m individual events and the 4×200m relay event, smashing the world record in each of the events. 

She became awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2009.
