Art Rooney II, christened Arthur Joseph Rooney II, is the president and majority owner of NFL football club, Pittsburgh Steelers. He is one of the only two third generation club owners in the NFL.
Early Accomplishments
At 26 years, he attended Pittsburgh University where he graduated with a BA in Political Science and 4 years later following his father’s footsteps, he went to Duquesne University where he obtained a law degree from its law school.
He also simultaneously gained a degree at the University of Exeter.
Best Known For
He is most famous for his position as the president of the football club founded by his grandfather and inherited from his father. In addition to this, he heads the league’s Stadium Committee and serves on the legislative, executive, international committees and the management council of the league.
He is also an associate partner/senior council of Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney, a law firm in Pittsburgh.

Art is straight. Asides his wife Greta, he is not known to have been with anyone else.
Family
Art is the first son of Dan and Patricia Rooney's five children and the grandson of Art Rooney I. He has three daughters Meghan, Mary & Ann and a son Dan II.
He is also a maternal uncle of actresses Kate Mara and Rooney Mara.
Religion
Continuing in the tradition of his family, Art is a practising Catholic.
