Jon Stewart

Born Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz and now known as Jon Stewart is a comic popular for his political satire on The Daily Show. He is so good that has been known to write, produce, act, direct and also serve as a TV personality and media critic.

Early Accomplishments

While in school, he had always had a knack for making people laugh and was known as the class clown. However, after several odd jobs, his comedy career started at 24 performing at nightclubs and comedy club before getting a break on TV writing for Caroline’s Comedy Hour.

Best Known For

It is popular opinion that the highlight of Jon Stewart’s career is being the host of The Daily Show from 1999 up until 2015, winning 22 Primetime awards. His audiobook in 2005 titled America (The Book): A Citizen’s Guide to Democracy Inaction also won a Grammy award.

Jon is straight. His known association with women is a long list and includes names such as Jennifer Aniston, Ashley Judd and Juliana Hatfield. 

He has been enjoying marital bliss with Tracy Mcshane since 2000.

His parents are Donald and Marian Leibowitz and he has 3 brothers, Lawrence, Daniel and Matthew. His marital union with his wife Tracy has produced son Nathan and daughter Maggie.

Religion

Jon was raised in Jewish family but seemed to now have a reason-based approach to religion in his older years. He has however been quoted to say religion has given hope to a world torn apart by religion.
