Ryan got his first exposure to fame while he was a young lad through The Mickey Mouse Club television show in the early 90's. By 1997, he got cast as the Kenny character in his first film, Frankenstein and Me.

For the past 25 years Ryan has been in the limelight, he has attained the most recognition of his career through for portraying the Noah character in The Notebook. This role earned him 6 Teen Choice Awards and an MTV Movie & TV Award. 

It was he who played the main role in movie La La Land alongside Emma Stone.
