Rooney's acting career was launched through a minor role in the 2005 horror film, Urban Legends: Bloody Mary. The following year, she featured in an episode of the popular legal series, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Best Known For

For the past 13 years of her career, she has attained the most recognition through her role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Playing the Lisbeth Salander character in this movie earned her a Kick Ass Award in 2011. She also portrayed the Tiger Lily character in the 2015 movie, Pan.
