Rutger Hauer is a brilliant writer, actor and environmentalist from Netherlands.

Early Accomplishments

Rutger's acting career was launched in the late 60's through both television series and movies. In his first year, he got a role in the action series Floris as well as in the drama series, Pathfinders.

Best Known For

For the past 5 decades, Rutger has remained relevant in the entertainment industry. In 1987, he impeccably portrayed the Lieutenant Aleksandr 'Sasha' Pechersky character in the television film, Escape from Sobibor. This movie became a huge success as it earned him a Golden Globe Award.

He played in the movie Blade Runner (1982) alongside Harrison Ford.
