David started out as a stage actor in theatre productions. One of his earliest works was in the play, A Month In The Country. His remarkable role in this production earned him a Theatre World Award. After this role, he branched into screen acting and featured in the 1957 film, The Enemy Below

Best Known For

Portraying the Felix Leiter character in the James Bond movies has given David the most recognition in the movie industry through the films, Live And Let Die and License To Kill released in 1973 and 1989 respectively.
