Viola Davis is an American actress and producer. 

Early Accomplishments

Viola's acting career began in 1992 as a theatre actress through her role in As You Like It. 4 years later she transgressed into the movie industry with her first role in The Substance of Fire. 

Best Known For

Viola's popularity has escalated through her role in the award-winning movie Fences. Her incredible role in this film earned her a Golden Globe Award, a Tony Award and much more others. She is as well-known through the television series How To Get Away With Murder.

Family

In 2003, Viola got married to the famous actor Julius Tennon. She has a daughter, Genesis by adoption and 2 step-children from her husband's past relationships.

Viola is a very devout Christian. She is a regular churchgoer who has a very strong faith in God and very much believes in the power of prayer. Before she met her husband, she prayed for his specific attributes and in less than a month she met him.
