Elizabeth Taylor was a Britain-born film actress and a businesswoman, who was popular in the US as well. 

Early Accomplishments

At the age of 3, Elizabeth started dancing and shortly after that her parents decided to test her acting talent. 

She debuted as a child actress at the age of 10 playing in There's One Born Every Minute. The following year she appeared in Lassie Come Home. However, already in 1944, Elizabeth got her breakout role in National Velvet. 

Best Known For

In 1960, Elizabeth Taylor got her role in BUtterfield 8 that later brought her Academy Award. Apart from acting, she was famous for her love affairs.

Elizabeth Taylor was definitely straight. She was married 8 times, but to 7 men (she married Richard Burton two times). 

Her marriages resulted in three kids: 2 sons with Michael Wilding and a daughter with Mike Todd. Besides, she had also adopted a daughter named Maria. 

Religious Belief

Elizabeth Taylor was born as a Christian, but at the age of 27 she converted to Judaism and took a new name - Elisheba Rachel. That happened after she had been studying Jewish history and the basics of Judaism for almost 9 months. She was a devoted synagogue-goer. 

Taylor’s husband Nicky Hilton was a Catholic and tried his best to convert her to Catholicism. These attempts failed as well as their marriage. Besides, the actress assured that such conversion was not connected with her marriages to Jewish men.
