Maria Shriver

Maria Shriver is an American journalist and activist.  

Early Accomplishments

In the early years of her career between 1978 and 1985, Maria was an anchor on KYW-TV. 

Best Known For

In 2003, Maria got the most recognition as she became the First Lady of California. In 2009, she produced the documentary The Alzheimer's Project which eventually won her two Emmy Awards. 

Sexual Orientation

Maria is straight. For over 30 years, she was legally married to the popular actor and politician Arnold Schwarzenegger. Maria and Arnold had a happy successful marriage until 2011 when they separated and she filed for a divorce. Their marriage fell apart as a result of Arnold's affair with their maid whom Maria got to discover had a child for Arnold more than a decade earlier. Their divorce was eventually finalized in 2017.
