Sam Smith

Sam Smith is a British singer-songwriter. 

Early Accomplishments

Sam got his first exposure through theatre while in school. He featured in Oh! Carol at the Youth Music Theatre UK in 2007.  

Best Known For

Sam has received the most recognition through the single he released in 2015, Writing On The Wall. This song ranked number 1 in the UK and earned him an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. 

Sexual Orientation

Sam is gay and considers himself a feminist. 

He recalls having more female clothes than male while he was in school and he also wore makeup. Sam has had a few short-lived relationships. He was dating Jonathan Zeizel but it didn't last for long. He admitted that the mistake he made was sharing his relationship on social media too early. In 2016, he dated the model Jay Camilleri but that also fell apart shortly.

Religious Belief

Sam was raised as a Christian under the Catholic denomination. He states that though he believes in God, he does not totally agree with what the church stands for. His major issue with the church is their stand on homosexuality.
