Billy Ray Cyrus

Billy Ray Cyrus is an American songwriter and country singer, but now is better known for his TV roles. 

Early Accomplishments

Billy's music career started in cooperation with his father. The two used to sing gospel songs.

A bit later, Billy created his own band Sly Dog (at the beginning of 80’s), but the real recognition came to his as a solo performer. In 1990, he signed a contract for recording with Mercury Records. Two years later, he hit the pop and country charts with his album Some Gave All. 

In 1993, Billy Ray released his second album It Won't Be the Last which was of a smaller success.

In 1999, Billy debuted as an actor, as he couldn’t reach high expectations with songs. 

Best Known For

Billy played a leading role in the TV series Doc. There he appeared as a country doctor Clint Cassidy. 

In 2006, after the two-year break, he came back as Robby Stewart, playing alongside his daughter Miley in Hannah Montana series. In the series the two played father and daughter. 

The following year, he joined a popular TV show Dancing with the Stars. 

Sexual Orientation

Billy is straight. He is married for the second time and has six kids. His current spouse, Tish Cyrus is the mother of Miley, Braison, Noah. Besides, Billy adopted Tish’s son Trace and daughter Brandi. The singer has a son from his previous relationship – Christopher.

Religious Belief

Spin.com (08/23/2016) informs that Billy is Christian. In many his interviews he has no problem with citing Bible. He says that in modern world faith is tested every day and it is hard to believe.

Worth To Know

In 2013, Tish intended to divorce Billy, but after some therapy the couple reunited.
