Manny Pacquiao is one of the most successful boxers in the world having won titles in 8 different weight categories. 

Early Accomplishments

Being a teenager, Manny made up his mind to become a boxer. As a result, he left his family to pursue boxing and to train professionally. 

At the age of 16, he conducted his first fight on the ring. His opponent was Edmund Ignacio. That was Manny's first real victory and beginning of his future two-decade-long career.

Best Known For

In 1998, Manny Pacquiao won his first major title - World Boxing Council flyweight while fighting with Chatchai Sasakul. 

In 2003, he was recognized as the Person of the Year of the Philippines leaving behind even the president.

In 2009, Manny initiated his own political party after an unsuccessful attempt to enter the House of Representatives.
