Gene has gotten most recognition and popularity as a bass guitarist in the band Kiss.

Gene is straight. For 3 years from 1980, he was in a romantic relationship with the American singer and actress Diana Ross. 

After he and Diana's relationship ended, he began dating his present wife Shannon Tweed. His relationship with Shannon turned out to be one of his longest. It lasted for a remarkable 28 before they got married 6 years ago. 

Religious Belief

Gene is of Jewish descent. His mother was a Jew and even a survivor of the Holocaust that claimed millions of lives during the Second World War.
