Otis Redding was a legendary American singer.
He started out in music as a child singing in his church choir where he learnt to play both the guitar and piano. During that period Macon radio station WIBB offered him a great opportunity paying him 6 dollars every week for singing on the radio.
Best Known For
He is mostly recognized for his hit single (Sittin' on) The Dock of the Bay.
Otis was straight. 6 years before his death, he got married to Zelma Atwood after meeting her in 1960 at Ga.’s Douglass Theatre. Zelma recalls their connection beginning with an argument which later grew from a love story into a marriage.
