Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne sweated off nearly 26 pounds (12 kg) to appear in the role of a transgender in The Danish Girl.
Early Accomplishments
From the age of eight Redmayne wanted to play in the theater after watching Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The parents supported the son's enthusiasm and allowed him to visit the children's theater club in High Wycombe.
Redmayne began his professional acting career as a youth in West End Theater before making his screen debut in 1998 with guest appearances on television.
