Together with his brothers Samuel, who was called Shemp and later replaces Jerome, who got the name Curly, and Larry (their friend), they created The Three Stooges and became world-famous. They were famous for their short comedy films and originally they were called Ted Healy and His southern Gentlemen. This vaudeville was active since the beginning till the middle of the 20th century.
