Julie Newmar

Julie Newmar is a legendary multitalented actress, dancer, singer, businesswoman and writer. 

Early Accomplishments

At the age of 15, she began dancing as a prima ballerina in the Los Angeles Opera. By the time she turned 19, she was working at Universal Studios as a dancer and choreographer. In 1955, she made her first appearance on Broadway.

Best Known For

She is mostly recognised for her role as Catwoman in the 1966 Batman series.

Julie is straight. She got married to J. Holt Smith in 1977 and got a divorce in 1984. They have a son, John who was born in 1981 and suffers from Down's syndrome, is deaf and also mute.

Julie is a Christian Scientist. She believes that most of her strength and her success are as a result of her faith. She got her most religious influence from her mother and grandmother who were both Christian scientists as well. Religion for her is not just history but very root of life's morality and goodness.
