Prince Philip is also known as the Duke of Edinburgh. He is a husband of the British Queen Elizabeth II and the father of the royal throne heir Prince Charles.

Prince Philip married Princess (at that time) Elizabeth in 1947, so this year is their 70th marriage anniversary. In order to get married with the British Princess, Philip had to abandon all his Greek titles and take his mother’s last name Mountbatten.
