Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is an American prominent basketball player.

Early Accomplishments

At high school and at Power Memorial Academy, Kareem became the leading basketball star who everyone could envy for his achievements and talent. 

In 1969, Kareem was named Rockie of the Year for being the second in scoring in the league and in rebounding he was the third.

Best Known For

Kareem is firstly known as an NBA player who has gained the highest amount of scores ever.

NBA reports that for 20 years of his sport career, Kareem won 6 NBA MVP titles, All-Star title for 19 times, became a scoring champion for 2 times and many others. 

Religious Beliefs 

According to CNN, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was raised in a Catholic family, but having grown up he converted to Islam. The autobiography of Malcolm X was that thing that encouraged Kareem to change his faith. The book contained certain principles of Islam that appealed to Kareem and made him explore it deeper.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is straight. He was married to Habiba Abdul-Jabbar not for long time, but the spouses have three kids together. They divorced in 1978, but Kareem has two more sons – Amir (with Cheryl Pistono) and Adam (together they starred in Full House sitcom).
