Jane is an American-born actress, TV host, comedian, and singer.

Early Accomplishments

Jane was playing for 15 years in Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre. Yet, her first film appearance was in 1988, when she got a small role in Vice Versa. In 1993 she had her second cameo in The Fugitive alongside Harrison Ford. 

Best Known For

To a wide range of audiences and movie fans all over the world, she is best known for playing Sue Sylvester in the Glee series (2009-2015). She got a Primetime Emmy for her excellent skills in depicting a school coach. Her other prominent works include A Mighty Wind, Best in Show, and Role Models.

Apart from the widescreen, she is known for her stage work in the Broadway play called Love, Loss, and What I Wore.

In 2010 she married Lara Embry, who is a clinical psychologist and writer. The couple raised two girls, Chase and Haden. But their marriage ended in 2014.

Jane was born in Dolton to the family of Frank and Eileen Lynch. Her father was working as a banker, while her mom was doing a secretary job. Her parents have Irish roots.
