James Howard Woods is an American actor.
Early Accomplishments
After leaving school in 1965, James entered the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in political science. However, in 1969 he dropped out and moved to New York City, preferring the life of a political scientist to an acting career.
He began his career playing in a number of off-Broadway theaters, then moving on to Broadway.

James Woods is best known for his roles in Once Upon a Time in America by Sergio Leone, Salvador by Oliver Stone, Cop, The Hard Way, Chaplin, and The Specialist.
For the role of a journalist in the film Salvador Woods was nominated for an Oscar.
