James Roday, born James David Rodriguez, is an American actor, screenwriter, director and producer.

Early Accomplishments

Roday graduated from New York University theater department with a bachelor's degree in fine arts. 

At the age of 22, he chose the professional name James Roday since James Rodriguez was already registered with the US Screen Actors Guild.

He began his career with various theatrical productions.

Best Known For

James gained the greatest popularity after the role of Sean Spencer in the TV series Psych. He also directed and wrote this series.

In 2012, Roday received Timmys Awards as Best Actor in a Drama TV Series, and Imagen Foundation Awards as Best Actor in a Comedy TV Series.
