James Maslow

James David Maslow is an American actor and singer.

Early Accomplishments

James landed a small role in a production of La bohème at the San Diego Opera when he was 10 years old. He went to the La Jolla Playhouse camp and got his own agent at the age of 14.

In high school, Maslow starred as Danny Zuko in a production of Grace and Moor in Les Misérables.

His television debut was in the iCarly episode iSaw Him First.

Best Known For

The actor is best known for his role as James Diamond on Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush. 

James released two singles in 2017: Cry (recorded with Canadian rapper City Fidelia) and lead single How I Like It. James also released an album of the same name with the lead single in 2017.

Sexual Orientation

James Maslow’s orientation is straight. 

Since 2007, he has been in a relationship with Miranda Cosgrove, Halston Sage, Aislinn Paul, and Gabriella Lopez. Since 2019, Maslow is dating Caitlin Sheyspears.

Family

The future actor and singer was born in New York to Kathy Burge and Mike Maslow. He grew up and studied in the northwestern La Jolla area of the Californian city of San Diego.

He has an older brother, Philip, and a half-sister, Alison.

Religion

James Maslow is Jewish. In an interview, he noted that he loves his religion, but never observed orthodox customs.

In 2014, James took part in the show Dancing With The Stars. He danced with professional dancer Peta Margatroid.
