James Wesley Marsters is an American television, film, stage actor and musician.

Early Accomplishments

According to Marsters, he decided to become an actor when he was a child - in the fourth grade of school, playing a role in the school production of Winnie the Pooh. After that, he joined the school theater troupe and played a lot in various plays and musicals.

His first serious role in the theater was the role of Ferdinand.

Best Known For

James is best known for his role as the vampire Spike in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel.

He also took part in such films and series as Smallville, P.S. I Love You, Hawaii Five-O, and others.

Marsters is a two-time Saturn Award winner.

James Marsters is straight. From 1989 to 1997, he was married to Lian Davidson. On May 10, 1996 they welcomed a son, Sullivan.
