Christopher Charles Lloyd, better known by his stage name Lloyd Banks, is an American rapper.
Lloyd Banks entered August Martin High School, but dropped out at 16, deciding to make music.
Together with childhood friends 50 Cent and Tony Yayo, they decide to form a rap group called G-Unit. They also brought in Young Buck after 50 Cent heard him rap.

Shortly after they found their own label, G-Unit Records, G-Unit released their first official album Beg for Mercy in November 2003, which went double platinum.

Christopher Lloyd was born April 30, 1982 in New Carrollton, Maryland, and spent his childhood in Queens, New York.
His mother, Rosa, is of Puerto Rican descent, and his father is of Somali-American descent. Lloyd’s father spent most of his childhood in prison, leaving his mother alone with Christopher and his brother and sister.

On September 10, 2001, Banks was shot twice while leaving a nightclub in Southside Jamaica, Queens. He was hit in the back and stomach, and ran to the nearest hospital after suffering the injuries.
