Early Accomplishments
Lloyd Banks entered August Martin High School, but dropped out at 16, deciding to make music.
Together with childhood friends 50 Cent and Tony Yayo, they decide to form a rap group called G-Unit. They also brought in Young Buck after 50 Cent heard him rap.
Best Known For
Lloyd Banks has gained a reputation as one of the best mixtape makers.
Shortly after they found their own label, G-Unit Records, G-Unit released their first official album Beg for Mercy in November 2003, which went double platinum.
Lloyd Banks released his debut solo album The Hunger for More in June 2004. The first single On Fire, performed together with 50 Cent, became a hit.
