Lindsey Vonn

Lindsey Caroline Vonn is an American skier.

Early Accomplishments

Lindsay was able to win a medal only at her fourth junior championship: in 2003 in Puy-Saint-Vincent she was second in downhill. 

In 2004, in Maribor, she repeated her downhill result and won bronze in the giant.

Best Known For

Vonn is the 2010 Olympic champion in downhill, the winner of 4 World Cups in the overall standings (2007/08, 2008/09, 2009/10 and 2011/12) and a two-time world champion. 

Many experts consider her as the strongest skier in history in high-speed disciplines.

Lindsey Vonn is straight. She was married to American alpine skier Thomas Vonn. In November 2011, it was announced that the Vonns had filed for divorce after 4 years of marriage. 

In 2013-2015, Vonn dated famous golfer Tiger Woods. Since 2018, she has had a romance with hockey player P.K. Subban. 

Family

The future sports star was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA. She is the daughter of Linda Anne and Alan Lee Kildow. 

Her father is of Irish ancestry and her mother is of German and Norwegian ancestry.

Lindsey Vonn's mother died in August 2022 following a long battle with ALS.
