Early Accomplishments

When Leland was a teenager, he started being interested in boxing and mixed martial arts. His career debut as a bounty hunter and bail bondsman was at his father’s Da Kine Bail Bonds. 

Best Known For

The man is mostly known for starring in the A&E Network reality TV show Dog the Bounty Hunter, where he often appears with his family, including his popular dad. 

Sexual Orientation

Leland is straight. He is married to Jamie Pilar Chapman, a tattoo model. The two went down the aisle in 2016. Before that, he was married to Maui Chapman from 1995 to 2005.

In his first marriage, the man welcomed two kids: a girl named Dakota (1995) and a boy named Cobie (2000).  His third kid, a girl named Leiah, appeared in 2010. Her mother is Leland’s ex-girlfriend Lynette Yi.

Family

Chapman is from Texas. He was born in the family of famous Duane Chapman, better known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, and La Fonda Sue Darnall. The boy had a difficult childhood. Leland’s parents separated when he was only 7 months old. At the age of 13, he started living with his father. 

Leland has 8 siblings, including half-siblings – his dad was married five times.

As for his religion, he is a non-denominational Christian.

Worth To Know

It’s interesting that Leland didn’t know that Dog was his dad for about 10 years of his life. He thought his stepdad was his dad.

The man was very close with his stepmother. Beth Chapman died in 2019 following a long battle with throat cancer.
