George Foreman is a retired professional boxer also famous for writing and entrepreneurship.
Going through some difficulties during his childhood, George turned to sports as a way to start a new life. This decision led him to an amateur boxing career and subsequently to the Summer Olympics. In 1968 he acquired gold in the boxing/heavyweight division.
He is most known for his boxing accomplishments. With the nickname “Big George”, he became a world heavyweight champion two times. He got his title defeating Joe Frazier (1973) and retired three times, the first of which was after losing to Muhammad Ali. Overall, Foreman lost only five times during his whole career.
