Naveen Andrews

Naveen Andrews is an English-American actor with Indian ancestry. Among his numerous roles is a part in a world-famous Lost series (2004-2010).

Naveen passed an audition for the Drama program in Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He debuted in 1991 in London Kills Me movie by Hanif Kureishi and played a leading role in  Buddha of Suburbia (1993) by BBC.

Best Known For

Naveen is famous for portraying Sayid Jarrah, one of the lead characters in the Lost series. Besides acquiring numerous fans for this role, Naveen was recognized by critics. He got nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2005 and for a Golden Globe in 2006. He won the Screen Actors Guild Award in 2006.

Sexual Orientation

Andrews is straight. His first known date was his high school teacher Geraldine Feakins. At the time they began their relationships Naveen was 16. He soon moved in with her.

He later had a relationship with Barbara Hershey and Elena Eustache (both actresses).

His parents were psychologist Nirmala and businessman Stanley Andrews. They had two sons beside Naveen. Their family may be considered conservative. Naveen, on his part, recalls them to be abusive. His parents avoided him due to his escape and relationships with the teacher.

He has a son Jaisal Andrews (b. 1992) with Geraldine Feakins and a son, Naveen Joshua Andrews (b. 2006) with Elena Eustache. At the moment, the actor has sole custody of his second son.

Religion

Naveen was raised in Methodist Christianity. However, there is no information about his current beliefs.
