Who is Terrell Owens?

Terrell Owens is a retired American football player and one of the NFL’s best wide receivers. He is known for his on-field flamboyance and outlandish touchdown celebrations. 

Early Accomplishments

During high school and college, he ran track, played baseball, football and basketball and almost quit the rest and settled for the latter until his football coach advised him to pick football. He was drafted into the NFL in 1996 by the San Francisco 49ers.

Best Known For

His most memorable moment in his career was his very controversial touchdown celebrations at the opposing Dallas Cowboys in 2000 where he paid a mock tribute by standing on their on-pitch logo.

He is a 6-time Pro Bowl winner and an inductee into the 49ers and Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Sexual Orientation 

Terrell is straight. He is known to have had romantic affairs with many women. In 2014 however, he finally got married to Rachel Snider but they divorced the following year. Some other women he has dated include Sanaa Lathan, Jessica White, Felisha Terrell and Kari Klinkenborg.

Family

He, his brother Victor Stowes and his sisters Sharmaine Stowes and Latasha Scales are all children L.C. Russell and Marilyn Heard. He fathers 4 children with 4 different women; sons, Terique and Atlin and daughters, Kylee and Dasha.

He is the only Hall of Fame inductee to skip his induction ceremony only to host it somewhere else.

In 2006, Terrell attempted to commit suicide after overdosing on painkillers.

Since his retirement in 2012, he has appeared in films like Lap Dance (2014) and Dysfunctional Friends (2012).
