After gaining talent scouts’ attention through her performance in a play titled The Crucible while in the 8th grade, she was signed to act as a professional immediately.

Instead of acting, her first job was a model from age 15, appearing in magazines like Glamour and British Vogue twice (Dec. ’85 & May ’86) and debuted acting in Kiss Daddy Goodnight (1987).
