Who is Xavi?

One of Spain’s greatest and most decorated players ever, Xavi is a retired soccer player-turned manager and administrator.

Early Accomplishments

He joined the famous Barcelona youth academy, La Masia at the age of 11 and was a key part of the Barcelona B team that gained promotion to Segunda División in 1998. He made his first team debut in May that same year and his La Liga debut in October 1998.

Best Known For

He is best known for his in-play vision, accurate passing, game control and as a midfield maestro for the Spain national team and FC Barcelona where he spent 17 glorious years at before moving to Qatari side, Al Sadd in 2015 and becoming the team manager in 2019.

He won 8 La Liga titles, 4 UCL titles as well as 2 UEFA Euro and the 2010 FIFA World Cup amongst many others.
