Stellan Skarsgård

Stellan Skarsgård is a vastly experienced actor who stands as the patriarch of the Hollywood-famous Swedish acting dynasty.

Early Accomplishments

He was led into acting at a young age and gained experience as he grew, making his screen debut in a lead role on the TV series, Bombi Bitt och jag in 1968, a little before turning 17.

At age 21, he appeared in the TV film Magnetisӧren (1972) and the films, Strandhugg i somras and Firmafesten, making his Hollywood debut in 1985’s Noon Wine.

Best Known For

He is famous for his roles in films such as Good Will Hunting (1997), Nymphomaniac (2013), Cinderella (2015), the 2006 and 2007 installments of Pirates of the Caribbean as Bootstrap and as Erik Selvig in Thor and other MCU films. He also plays a role in 2019 Sky UK/HBO series, Chernobyl.
