Lucy Liu

Lucy Liu is an outstanding and evergreen actress, proficient in film, television and voiceovers. She is also a respected artist, a director and humanitarian.

Early Accomplishments

During her senior year of earning her Asian Languages and Cultures degree at University of Michigan, she landed the lead role in the school’s production of Alice in Wonderland.

With a few more roles under her belt, she made her screen debut aged 24 in a 1991 episode of Beverly Hills 90210.

Best Known For

She gained international renown playing O-Ren Ishii in the Kill Bill films (2003-04) and Alex in the Charlie’s Angels films (2000-03) as well as voicing Viper in all the Kung Fu Panda films and series.

She also played a main role in Ally McBeal (1998-02), Elementary (2012-19) and Why Women Kill (2019).

Sexual Orientation

Lucy is straight and has only dated a handful of men in her life. She was with George Clooney in 2000 and allegedly briefly dated Wladimir Klitschko in 2008.

She dated Zach Helm in 2002 and were engaged until their split in 2004 and soon after dated Will McCormack for 3 years. 

Family

She is the youngest child of Tom and Cecilia Liu with her siblings being John and Jenny. By choice, she is a single parent of a surrogate-born son named Rockwell (b. 2015).

Religion

Lucy was born and raised a Buddhist but states that she is into everything spiritual. She also studied other religions such as Jewish mysticism and Taoism.

As an artist, she has had her works exhibited in galleries across the US, Canada, London, Munich and Manchester. The Singapore National Museum held her first national exhibition in 2019.

She is very good friends with Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz.
