Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley is one of the most famous names in rap. He is highly revered as a rapper, record producer, singer and DJ.

Early Accomplishments

At age 14, he learned to dj with his left hand while recuperating for almost a year from an accidental gunshot wound he sustained.

He worked under the name DJ Timmy Tim up until 1995 when he began to produce songs for acts like Sista and Jodeci. 

Best Known For

He produced Aaliyah’s 1996 album, One in a Million, Missy Elliot’s 1997 debut Supa Dupa Fly album and most famously, Justin Timberlake’s hit songs like Cry Me A River, My Love and Mirror.

As a songwriter, he has written 100 US hit tracks for various artists and has 3 albums to his name with songs like If We Ever Meet Again with Katy Perry.

Timbaland is straight. He met Monique Idlett in 2004 and they got engaged 2 years on, finally walking down the aisle together in 2008 but sadly their union ended in divorce in 2013.

Timbaland is the first child of Garland and Latrice Mosley with his brother’s name being Sebastian Mosley and his sister’s being Courtney Rashon.

From a past relationship, he fathers 2 sons; Demetrius and Frankie but also fathers a daughter Reign (born 2007) from his past marriage.

Religion

Timbaland was raised as a Christian but became less interested in religion. In 2014, he had a “spiritual experience” that changed his life and now recognizes he is being looked after by God.
