John F. Bongiovi Jr. a.k.a Jon Bon Jovi has become a global rock phenomenon. The singer-songwriter rockstar is also a philanthropist and actor.
Early Accomplishments
At the age of 13, he began his music career, playing guitar/piano with the band, Raze and formed 3 other bands before he turned 20.
His debut recording was R2-D2 We Wish You A Merry Christmas in 1980 and after a small success locally, he formed the band Bon Jovi in 1983.
Best Known For
Bon Jovi has sold more than 130 million units of its 14 studio albums worldwide and won many awards, including a Grammy, for songs such as Livin’ on a Prayer, Runaway and Wanted Dead or Alive.
He owns the charity organization, Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation and has starred in the films U-571 (2000), National Lampoon’s Pucked (2006) and Moonlight and Valentino (1995).

Jon is straight. He furtively wedded his high school lover, Dorothea Hurley in 1989 and have been together ever since, even through rumored affairs with Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen.

He and his brothers, Matthew and Anthony are sons of John Sr. and Carol (Sharkey) Bongiovi. His cousin, Tony Bongiovi gave him his professional career start.
