Early Accomplishments

He began to gain ground in the hip hop world in his teenage years while working for his dad who owned a record label, even doing promotions on a song called “the first rap song”, back in 1979.

Before starting his label, Loud Records in 1991, he had relocated to LA where from 1986 until 1988, he was manager of the R&B crew, New Edition.

Best Known For

He serves as founding chairman of Loud Records (known for acts such as Mobb Deep and Wu-Tang Clan and SRC (that signed artists like Akon, Asher Roth and David Banner).

Some of his marketing campaigns clients include Nike, Adidas, Pepsi, T-Mobile, Levi Jeans and SanDisk.
