Early Accomplishments

He picked the guitar and began learning at the age of 7 before transitioning to keyboards. He relocated to Atlanta when he was 14 and joined a band.

Switching from singing to producing, he got his first production credit in a Billboard R&B chart No. 2 song, Mr. DJ by Joyce Irby and Doug E. Fresh in 1988.

Best Known For

His work with TLC was celebrated when their 1999 album, FanMail was voted the best R&B album at the 2000 Grammy Awards.

He also produced Boyz II Men’s debut album and many of their songs, Madonna’s Bedtime Stories and songs such as Unpretty by TLC, Just Like a Pill by Pink and Cool by Gwen Stefani.
