Bobby Brown is a very renowned singer, dancer and actor. He has also starred in his own reality series.

Early Accomplishments

He began his dream of becoming a singing superstar as a member of his church choir and at age 9, formed the group New Edition with some friends.

After some personnel changes and performances in various talents shows, they earned a record deal in 1982 and released their first album, Candy Girl in 1983. 

Best Known For

Some of his best known songs include My Prerogative and Every Little Step, the latter which won him a Grammy.

He also starred in films such as Two Can Play That Game (2001) and A Thin Line Between Love and Hate (1996) as well as his reality series, Being Bobby Brown in 2005.

Bobby is straight and has been married to Alicia Etheridge since 2012 after dating for 3 years. His marriage to Whitney Houston (from 1992 to 2007) was the talk of tabloids for many years.

His 11-year on-and-off relationship with Kimberly Ward ended in 1991 and his romance with Melika Williams ended in 1987. He also had an affair with Karrine Steffans in 2002.

Family

He is one of the 7 children of Herbert and Carole Brown (both late). He has 6 children with 3 women; son Landon (with Melika), daughter LaPrincia and son Bobby Jr. (with Kim) and son Cassius and daughters Bodhi and Hendrix (with Alicia).

He was father to Bobbi Kristina Brown until her demise in 2015.

He was diagnosed with ADD as a child and bipolar disorder as an adult. He has been the subject of many celebrity drug-related offences such as travelling with marijuana in the luggage.
