Miquel Brown is a Canadian soul/disco singer and actress with worldwide acclaim for many hit songs she recorded in the 70s and 80s
She was only 14 years when she got pregnant with an eventual popstar but she did not let her life stall because of this. She proceeded with her education and was in college when she had to drop out to go on tour with the musical, Hair.
At 24, she also landed the lead role in Decameron ’73.
Best Known For
A few of Miquel’s famous songs include He’s A Saint, He’s A Sinner and So Many Men, So Little Time (both in 1983) as well as Close To Perfection in 1985.
She has also had roles in the films, French Kiss (1995), An American Haunting (2005) and How To Lose Friends And Alienate People (2008).
Miquel is straight but has kept her love life away from the prying eyes of the media and public. As far as we know, she was only involved with a man called Anthony Blackett while she was in her early teenage years.
Her parents’ names are unknown but she was born in Montreal and grew up in Vancouver. At age 14, she gave birth to twin girls; American-born popstar, Sinitta and her long-lost sister, Greta.
Miquel appears to have lived most part of her life as a Christian but has not been recorded to speak up about her faith.
Worth To Know
She was christened Michael by her parents but they later began to spell it as Miquel to help people distinguish her from another popular person.
She is also a step-sibling of fellow singer, Amil Stewart.
