Early Accomplishments

He played cricket while in high school and at Cambridge University, he joined the Marlowe Society to direct various plays.

At 23 years, he worked as an assistant director at the Chichester Festival Theatre and in 1989, directed his first West End play, The Cherry Orchard.

Best Known For

Known for directing 007 films, Skyfall and Spectre and winning 3 Academy and 2 Golden Globe Awards for, he has won 10 more for directing and producing films like American Beauty (1999), Road to Perdition (2002) and Revolutionary Road (2008).

He also produced horror series, Penny Dreadful and won 19 awards for his 8 plays.
